Mark your calendar and join us at the Northrup King Building for Art-A-Whirl 2011, the premier Northeast Minneapolis arts event. Did you know that our NE Mpls AAW is the biggest open studio tour in the ENTIRE country? Pretty awesome! This is a free event with free parking (and bike racks!)
Tips for success:
The best way to navigate the NKB is to enter through the Van Buren Entrance right off of, you guessed it, Van Buren Ave. It will be the first green awning on the end of the building as you drive in. There is a large parking lot right across from the door, but arrive early, as it does fill up fast.
Head straight up to the 4th floor, that way you only have to climb stairs once! Kallsen Studio is located right next to the stairwell.
If you do end up coming in the “main” building entrance, the advice is the same: climb to the top first! Get all those pesky stairs out of the way! When you get up there, head to your left, and go all the way around to the East Wing. You will find us, and many other great studios along the way.
